every time I say to myself "I'll just check my mail and that's all" but I seem to check everything else & end up spending too much time on the computer, I get so involved in stuff and before I know it time is wasted. I've missed alot of things , this computer is very addictive, oh but what can we do , right now its 6 a.m.& i'm going back to bed.

Hi,
I'm planning to make a website but am not sure based on which platform whould I use it. I mean java looks promising but there are so many technologies within java that I'm confused about which one to use.
Among JSP, servlet and PHP which one can be used to create a complete functionality of a website? Is there some other language that I haven't mentioned?

I am very technically skilled, and am a very able person. I am a quick learner, and I do not give up under pressure or time constraints. I have even assembled my computer by myself, with no assistance or outside sources other than Newegg. I intend to the fullest to undergo the most rigorous training possible until I am able to program quickly and as efficiently as possible.

I would like some expert help on where to begin. I have already dabbled a little bit in Visual Basic, but as the title suggests - it is quite basic and I wish to go deeper into programming. I didn't learn much about how code interacts with hardware while using Visual Basic. All I learn to do was place buttons and then link them to certain actions.

Please, share your knowledge with me and guide me towards a more enlightened outlook into the world of computers.

Can multiple alt tags be defined for an image without slicing it? If yes, will all the tags be displayed when I mouse over the image? Are there any negatives/drawbacks in defining multiple alt tags, from SEO point of view or otherwise? Will it be considered as spam?

hi i wanted to know if anyone here has their own method of handeling errors on asp.net , were using c#. i setup the web.config file with these attributes

now when i run the page i still get the error page that tells me to setup my web.config files error handling with the above code, i also tried setting it to on and the same thing happends.

also on other pages when i load it, i get errors like line 1: bla bla "=" something to do with an equal sign.

is there a way to trap these errros as much as possible and display a custom error page? instead of the ugly error page.
most of the errors i recieve are internal hard to understand errors.
