Why when web browsing do I sometimes get cut off and a message telling me that Javascript has been disabled. How can I resolve this problem?

I am in the process of getting a web page. I have received quotes that couldn't be more different. One factor in my final choice will be effective design and search engine priority.

One designer offers web hosting packages the other has quoted to find the most effective web hosting solution for my needs.???????

What do I need to know about hosting???please answer as if I know nothing about it....thank you so much!

I want people to be able to go from internal page to internal page without the entire web site having to re-load. So the top "bar" and side "bar" stay loaded and only the center of the web site re-loads.
Is that frames? Java script? Is there a tutorial somewhere?

Web standards currently in use, including CSS 2.1, XHTML 1.1, HTML 4.01, WML 2.0, ECMAScript, DOM 2 and SVG 1.1 basic.
how does the internet browser reads those standards?!

I'm currently thinking of switching back to XP for the time being so Microsoft can work out the bugs in Vista. I've heard you have to have a special Windows XP CD to do so. Where can I find one, and can I re-install Vista anytime after that?

That method e.g. canWatchMovie( ) takes rating as a parameter?

I built a site on my Yahoo Sitebuilder. I have an account with Yahoo, but would like to use the site with another domain that I have on 1&1. Is there away to use this site on 1&1. The 1&1 site builder is alot harder to work with than Yahoo's, but I have many websites and just can't afford $10 a month for every one I have going. Thats the only reason I have some of my domains at other webhosts. Thanks in advance.

On my microsoft word the pages are displayed as if in print preview but it's not really and the words are too small to read when I write. Does anyone know how to fix it so that it goes back to the normal size?
