Hello just need some advice. I have used some premade layouts and have also done my own--but I was curious if I just wanted to pick a background that you find on alot of the myspace sites around here and how I could add my own image along the right side and tiled vertically.

Just curious because I would like to use a cool background instead of a solid color...but still cusotmize my background pic on the side...without having to use a totally premade layout.

Where do you find the resources to do so? I've found that while there seem to be a lot of java tutorials, they are either easy or super-complex. there is only like one per search, not a whole train of them that one could learn from. I just want to learn how to program.

i'm stumped. How come some of the boxes are yellow and some of them are white. I have reviewed the code and can't figure it out. Could you please help me. We use several AB SLC500's at work, many sit in a box, unused.

I've been wanting to get in to robotics and microcontroller programming in a way that would benefit me at work. I want to bridge the gap between my Industrial Engineering career and my programming/electronics interests.

This isn't really in my job description so I have to learn and experiment on my own time. Spending thousands of dollars to get RSLogix and a SLC500 isn't feasible.

I've looked at Basic Stamps, but that's nothing I could implement at work. Same with Oopics, ATOM, Rabbit, etc. Even bare bones mircrocontrollers like the PIC, AVR, and Z8 Encore look to me like something our Maintenance guys would scoff at as a toy.

My biggest problem is that beginners' MC's BASIC and C program implementations don't help me with AB's Ladder Logic.

Is the Cubloc system a good way for a newbie with intermediate programming and electronics skills to get started?

I made a slideshow using windows movie maker and pictures I found online. When I sent it through my email, and tried opening it on a friends computer, the pictures come up as red Xs meaning they're missing files. I can't browse for them because they're saved on my computer and not hers...so how can I get the pictures to show on a computer other than my own?

Hi-trying to print my flow chart off microsoft visio. It keeps sending it to the fax machine rather than my printer. If I choose my printer, it makes me save the document but doesnt print it. Any help appreciated.

Hi, i m kinda new to C++, but i m running into a problem for doing I/O data input and output. Supposely, using the if/of stream allows you to input data from a word/text document with number or word, then it will output w/e ur equation it is inside the execution file. However, when i done it in school with a Mac, it works fine. when i do it in all my window computer, the input is not what i wrote in the txt file. Instead, it took the number from" I donno where" and then plug me the output. It took the numbers like 4.342e24, 3.23e34, etc.... can anyone help? i just cant input the things correctly. at least in school, if i put the program.exe in one foulder with the txt, it took it and ran. In my home, no matter how I wrote the program, it takes the same things i mentioned above. (a source that i donno where it came from) some helps plz...

I'm trying to make a small task database that will record the staff members payroll. I have three tables which are :
Staff
Department
Staff Payroll

The reason why i have a seperate table for payroll because i want access to work out each staff members wages. Each department has a different pay rate and the staff table just shows the staff details.
I am having trouble with the relationship and also the layout of the tables. My problem lies here:
Many staff members can work in one department, and one department has many payrolls
Staff -< Department->Payroll
But i cant work out payroll unless i have staff details on the payroll table. But if i link staff and payroll together it has TO MAKE a one-to-one relationship. I cannot get this working, its too difficult and MS access wont allow me to make it.
Is there anyway i can change my style around so i can show working out staff Payroll with having 3 seperate tables?
