Server? I want to make it so each new record has to be accepted before the data is added to each field in the new record. Is making it a required field enough? Or do you have to do batch transaction processing (which requires SQL Server?) I appreciate any help from you databasers out there. Thank you.

If you have a database with 200 fields and another with 5 fields. The both have the same nos of rows. If you are searching for the same perameters will it return results as quickly for the table with more fields as the one with less. i.e. does the number of fields effect speed in the same way nos of rows does?

Within my MS Access DB, I am using a macro which uses the "sendobject" command. My problem is the number of people I am trying to e-mail in more the 255 charictors long. I get a "Text is too long to be edited error" is there a way around this?? PLEASE HELP!!!!

the thing is, i am confused as what to do. the Lecturer gave us
a major coursework to do using c++ where individual persons are suppose to do theirs. however most of us are blank. anyway the program we are suppose to write must include functions, array or structure and or stacks or queues. the program should be about a school registration system that enables you to easily find a student in case of any problem. therefore the program should include students name, parent's/ guardian's name, address, contact number, student's age, course enrolled in, House and Club, and Date of Birth along with the denomination of the student, the subjects the student does and the grades for those subjects.

the lecturer also states that the program should involve private and public functions

and i don't know the first thing to do much less finishing it and its due date is two week from this.

I just downloaded a film from the internet but I do not know how to put the subtitles in. There are some sort of files attached to it (called STR, which I believe are the subtitles) but they would not open when playing the film. Do I have to do this manually, and if so, how?

I have drawn an image in adobe illustrator and now need to open it up in photoshop to do a bit more to it. When I do this the quality of my illustrator image has decreased rapidly and is all pixelated. Is there a way of getting better quality when changing from illustrator to photoshop?

How do I put a date into a cell when you click a button and concatenate it with the current value

so I want NextID + Todays date

so it enters in The NextID100107 for example

i have a massive HR SQL database and i need to pull out 3 job code values (position, location & shift), along with the employee ID#.

is there a simple way to search the entire SQL database to find the specific table/array name where these points of information are stored?
i know that i can view the tables/columns/etc individually but w/over 100 of them and each having multiple columns/labels it will take me a very long time to find the specifc one i want.

it seems that this should be easy and that i am just not seeing/thinking of something obvious.

I have several text boxes named txtApp1dir, txtApp2dir, and so on. when this code runs it needs to check weather the path to an exe exists. fFile always comes up as false, even if the path in the text box is correct.
