Obviously nobody knows exact number of volunteer hours that it took to create Mozilla FireFox and no doubt the hours that Microsoft programmers spend developing Explorer is confidential, however, does anybody has a guess if the number of hours is comparable or one of the browsers took much less time to develop. If so which product took less hours? Is the difference in hours less than say ten times? I figured some folks in the open source community must have some sense of what the answer might be.

I'm just starting to learn HTML. How do I get the bullet point to indent while getting the text to line up? What is the html code? For example:

What I want it to look like:
(Ignore the dashes, I needed to use those to get the text to line up correctly.)

All the programs that come with it work except Corel Photo Paint 12, which was working until yesterday. Now when I open it a error message pops up,
Valid workplace file not found at the path specified. A name was started with an invalid character.
Does anybody know how to fix this. I have tried uninstalling, and reinstalling with no success.

im very much noob here (just started it 2days ago lol) im using Dev C++ Bloodshed Software (lol dont know how to say it in correct technical grammar).

Hello World is d most basic (like hacking pinball scores when using CE) but my problem is after i compile d source file and run it, the only thing that happens is that the command prompt (or command.com whatever) flashes for only a few milliseconds. I cant see then if the messege "Hello World" had appeard...


help me pls.. lol


when creating hello world, is it at new source file? or at new project? or at new resouce file? lol pls support d noob thnx !

I downloaded a web page along with its associated files. It indicated that it downloaded xxx.htm. What it actually downloaded was xxx.htm and a folder called xxx_files that contained the associated files. This is what I wanted but I found a strange thing happening. The folder was tied to the file. When I move either of them from one folder to another both of them moved. If I tried to rename one of them it the system indicated that it would cause problems with the associated file. Where is this type of action documented and is it only with html where the file and the folder have the same name except for the word files?

Note that the html file was outside of the folder and was not a shortcut. If I renamed them and ignored the warning the link was broken.

Hi,

I'm working on a model for a website in Microsoft Publisher, because that's the only program I'm even slightly familliar with.

I'm not a programmer or anything, so go easy on me...

I have just a couple questions:

First of all, on publisher, the page ends on the right at a certain point, but when I preview them in IE, they extend another inch or so to the right. How can I change publisher to show the extended size so I can place pictures or text there. It looks very strange to just have a blank strip running down the side.

Also, and this is my bigger issue, I want to create subpages on the menu on the left. For example, I want them to be able to click on a page, then see of the left, a few more options to click on under that. I thought this would be possible by setting master pages, but that blew my mind when I tried to do it. So if you know how to create subpages, I really would love to know.

i decided i don't like to build things with work.but i luv the computer and programming things so i decideed i wanted to make a robot.i am only 12 yrs old here.so it will be hard, but i am determined.wat i need is instructions on how to make a roobot that can do htings on it's own and it not nesseccary fly,but float.any ideas.i know it sounds crazy to be hearing this from a 12 yr old but im serious.plzzzz help me. and no crappy instructions.

I was wondering if there was a way for me to be able to save the text I type into the fields of this document so I can change it at a later date if need be or a program that will remove this security feature

go to page 9 of that link. That is where I need to type data in to and possibly change it later. Across the top of that link it tells me that "You cannot save data typed into this form". Any help is greatly appreciated.

Operating system is Win 2000 Pro. I have made several folders in Outlook Express and I am going to reformat and reinstall Operating system. Need to back up some data in outlook express folders so I can reinstate them. cannot find them. Have found Address book Folder.

I am building a webpage for my company that needs to use a webform. I've developed the form and I'm diverting it to a cgi webform script (that GoDaddy provided) which is hosted on my own website. It works fine.

The problem is that I want the webform to redirect users back to my company's website once they've submitted their details. At present, it just loads the root homepage for the website (mine) where the script is located.

I've tried using but it just brings up a 404 error message after the submission.

Is there a problem in using a script and then diverting the user back to an external domain outside of the location where the script is hosted?

If anyone can help, please do!
