Operating system is Win 2000 Pro. I have made several folders in Outlook Express and I am going to reformat and reinstall Operating system. Need to back up some data in outlook express folders so I can reinstate them. cannot find them. Have found Address book Folder.

Let Outlook Express find them for you !
From Outlook Express goto Tools>Options> Maintenance Tab, and there you should see the Store folders button, click it and you'll see the path typed in there, you may copy the store location and paste it into the Run (Start >Run press Ok) and those will show up.

Most of the Outlook Express error messages are due to problems with the internet connection, not the software on your computer.

search for deleted.dbx. Create a shortcut. right click select properties. Click find target, and that will show outlook folder and all folders inside it
