Yes.
It would be a shame if you didn't/weren't allowed to use two completing brands of software on a Windows machine. Then Gate would have won for sure.

You can't uninstall IE, and if you manage to do so, you'll probably break Windows. Just leave it on there and ignore it, I use FireFox too.

I do at times where I need the same website to open up twice and I've never had a problem.
