Now since someone sent me something else and stupidly downloaded real player, it keeps opening everything in that. There are so many things that will not work with that. How do I go into my computer and make Window Media Player the default?

So I opened the index.html file in GoLive, removed and replaced some text, did save as index.html, uploaded it in the same folder, and now the page has the proper text, but all the images and links and other content are missing and broken, and all I can see are, I think, frames. I didn't design the site, but I need to update this text right now. Help please? Oh, and anyone with comments like, "hire a designer" can save it, okay? Do you really want "points" that badly? Thanks in advance for some honest help with this.

I know a group of people online at a forum who are programming a new on-line rpg. I want to help out, but the problem is that my program is not at all what they are using. I use command pascal to make little games and little things to screw around w/. What would be some example pieces of source code that would let me have a program that would run then save data to a small file that could be recalled later on that could be used as a high score sheet.

I'm creating a C++ program, and I dont remember the proper way to do this.

Example

Gas prices were set at $4444

I need to take the number 4444 out of that STRING message and convert it to a float, so I need to read in the entire line of code, and get the number part out, I believe it had something to do with cin.get

I'm creating a page where pictures will appear in a table when clicked on, but they are large sized pictures. How do I preload them all to cache or memory so that the user won't have to wait each time one of the images is selected?

When trying to do a disk defragment on my PC, it tells me I only have 11% memory and I need 15% to perform a defragment. It says this under D drive. Where do I need to go on my PC and delete things, is it photos, music, what? I need really basic instructions. I have gone to different areas and tried deleting things but it still says 11%. What do I do help????

Hi Buddy,

I m designing a webpage..

Now ,What i wan to do is that

1)"when anyone visits my webpage a Popup appears Welcoming them"
2) Nothing can be done until Ok (ayed) {OK clicked}
As, when we are in middle of "saving file (Save As...)" and a sound of "Tinnng Tinnng" gets out when mouse is clicked elsewhere by mistake !

Can anyone have me the Idea?

I'm trying to learn CSS for web design, but there I haven't found anything to lead me in the right direction in regards to formatting text mid-line.

I'm using the header tag in the html file for my css definitions. I can get all the customization I want for h1,h2, etc... and the

tag.

So, if I wanted every paragraph to have its own color, I'm fine. But if I want to highlight just like this is supposed to, I can't seem to, regardless if I try class or ID selectors.

Like I said, I know my problem isn't in the definition stage, because I can get it to work if I use the

operator. Maybe there is a better way to define it to get the effects I want? I mean, I don't always have to start a new line to get a new font effect, do I?

So, could someone redo the font color red thing above in css? If you feel my problem might be in defining them in { } 's , let me see that too.

Hello,

I own a small online business. I create websites and do freelance web development from designing to dekstop programming. I have a great deal of to-do list but I'm just 15. I have other things to do as well which distracts me a lot like playing games. I had deleted the games and controlled my gaming time but I just keep visiting the webmaster forums all the time. I waste a lot of time on then and can't work. Please give me suggestions that how can I keep myself away from all the stupid distractions.

To all the more advanced coders out there, I'd really like to start honing my skill, and practicing what I've learned though some simple projects. I'm having a bit of trouble thinking of some good ideas of programs that would help me out.

Well ok, i should rather ask, how to connect to mysql server without using sockets. This is how i connect at this time:

I'm not looking for the traditional stock quotes website where the user types in a symbol and gets a quote. I want a website that offers an API (application programming interface) that a programmer can use to integrate stock/future/option/forex quotes into an application he is building. If it's not a free service then price will be a consideration.
