Storage Capacity in Bytes & Access Speed in Hertz
KiloBytes(1 KB ->1024 Bytes) MegaBytes(1 MB -> 1024KB) GigaBytes (1 GB -> 1024 MB) TeraBytes ( 1 TB -> 1024 GB)
KB not to be confused with Kb.
Kb Is Kilo Bits. 1 Byte is 8 Bits

These days memory is usually measured in megabytes (millions of bytes).
A byte = 8 bits, where a bit is a single on/off "switch" in memory. It typically takes two bytes to store a single letter in memory.
The reasons for the above are mostly historical in nature.

memory is measured in bytes, 8 bits, now mega and giga bytes. Think of one bit as a light switch.

RAM is measured two ways. The capacity of RAM is measured in bytes and the speed of ram is measured in nano seconds.
