I guess a lot depends on what type of job you are looking for. I am an entrepreneurial minded person with solid technical AND business skills and 15 years of experience. I am just tired of trying to make small innovative companies to be successful (ultimately run out of resources). Would Monster be the right place for me to look for a job? Or, are there any other/better sites? How do you people put up with Monster's constant advertisments?

Why do you think the US are dominating the internet business?

I will like you to give 10 reasons why you think US companies are in complet dominion of all viable internet business : yahoo , google , ebay ,amazon , paypal , msn , youtube , myspace etc . why do you think is hard for start ups to come from countries that are not US . what is the magic ingredient found in the US that is not found else where . what is the magic wand that the US has that is hard to be copied else where .
why is it that Europe , china , india canada can't make it ?

I want to post HTML that others can copy (like for a layout or a graphic). The site I had been using to convert code making it forum safe (r4rw.com something... no longer exists)

I know the code is something like > HTML<.. but I can't get it right.....

This will be my first client and I am soooo nervous! What should I be asking them? It is for a coffee shop. It will be a small site since I am new at this. This is also a part of my assignment for college. As I progress I will make their site better as I learn new techniques. They are aware of my inexperience and are excited also and willing to help. I have young kids. They found out about youtube and funnyjunk.com at school. There is some VERY inappropriate material for them on those sites. But if I turn on content advisor, it slows everything down too much.

I recently switched from verizon dsl (at 3m download) to road runner cable (with up to 10m/s download).
With DSL, I used to get around 2.5M constant download speed, but ever since I switched to RR, my download speed during daytime is around 500kbits/sec. (at night time it goes up to 7m, but I don't use internet at night so it's useless)
I understand that since cable uses shared network, the speed will be slow during peak time, but 500kbits/sec (1/20 the promised speed!) seems ridiculously slow!
I called up TWC (about 10 times) and after going through all trouble shooting procedures they finally sent out a technician to my home and tested the line and said the outside lines in my building (i live in an apartment) needs maintenance. I just called TWC today and verified that the outside line maintenance was done few days ago, but the speed did not improve.
Is RR supposed to be this bad during peak time? Is there any way to fix this or should i switch back to dsl?

I want to set up a website and subscribe to google adsense as well.

Please tell me , is there any software available that i can use to set up a website , for a computer literate person like me,but yet, easy to operate(the software) ?

Do we need technical knowledge to make our own website and get google ads on it or can it be done by anyone and does not require specialisat knowledge?

What are the benefits of studying a computer course - designing and internet technologies ,programming etc in addition to the courses i am pursuing at the moment - accounting, and investment courses ?

I have 2 websites due to a recent company rebranding. 1 is the old website, which has established traffic and search engine rankings, the new one has no ranking or traffic. Unfortunately the old site must go.

What is the best way to get traffic to the new website? Would it be best to forward old to new, or link old to new?

I would also consider other web marketing EG pay per click, whilst the optimisation propagates in the search engine - any other ideas to generate interim traffic???

ok.. i was on this website like 7-8 weeks ago and then my computer broke (n ive only got it fixed like a coupl of days ago) N i really need that website again but it isnt in the history. I've finished all my work, I'm bored out of my mind, and we have a block on the computer that blocks everything and hell. Or maybe someone knows a way around it? Haha though I'm about to go to lunch, but I still have half an hour after that with nothing to do. Any suggestions?
