Internet - December 2006

Like I said, about a week ago I submitted www.masontrenching.com

When I Search for mason trenching on google it shows up. However the search engine won't find any of the other "sub-directories" , Like www.masontrenching.com/products or www.masontrenching.com/aboutus

Why is this? The products page is the most important with many important key-words. Do I have submit each sub-directory, I thought google spidered through web pages? Thanks

Hi, I don't know what happened but the blue bar at the top of my web browser seems to have changed since yesterday. There's the icon of the white sheet of paper with the blue e on it, and instead of saying Yahoo or whatever page I happen to be on, it just says the first letter. So I'm on Yahoo now (which happens to be my homepage as well) and it just says Y at the top in the blue bar and Y in the tab below in the blue bar with my desktop icons and my start button. It never looked like this before and I don't know why it changed since yesterday. How can I fix this? I can't do system restore because my system restore hasn't worked in months for some inexplicable reason. I don't get it. Please help since I know nothing about computers. Thanks.

a while back an incident occurred where alot of people, quite a large number of folks had their profiles completly erased. pictures, music, uploads, details, all went, including mine. and obviously its heart rendering when youve spent time building up your profile and adding stuff to it, then you have to start all over again....i want to know is this an event that could happen again,? and people lose all their work and info on their profile page, i saw it called the myspace atom bomb which wipes out everythin..is there anythin to safeguard this?

I just bought a used AOL DSL modem and was hoping it would work with my Qwest DSL, but it doesn't. Why not?
I just found a really nice, new looking DSL modem that I bought for $5 at a local used store. On the bottom of the modem, there is a sticker that says "Please return to AOL if you cancel your service," so I assume it was a DSL modem for AOL service. I have Qwest DSL service and wanted to eliminate the $5 monthly charge for modem rental, so I bought this used modem, but it won't work with my DSL service. Does Qwest have the MAC # for my modem in their system, so only the modem they give me will work for the service, or is there any way I can get this other modem to work for me? I appreciate any help. Thanks a bunch!

Is there anyway I can upload my digital camera images from a public computer (like a internet cafe?) ONTO THE NET! not on the computer its-self! of corse using cords. but without downloading the software?

I ordered an item online from what appeared to be a reputable retailer (damselworld.com). after a while i wrote them several times looking for my stuff; they finally responded with apolologies- claimed they had server troubles and my stuff was on the way. that was two months ago and they dont respond to email (there was no phone number on the site- an increasingly common trend that i really dont like).

any recommendations as to how to force their hand and return my money?

I'm tired of all the drama of top friends and comments. SO I hid them both. BUT I would like to be able to still recieve comments....just be the only one who sees them. I don't want them displayed but I want to keep the option of getting them. I've seen an "add a comment" box on other people's pages before. Would this work for me and where can I get the code?
