Look at the top of your browser and you’ll see the word “view” click it.
Then find the word “toolbar” and you’ll see a section of things you can have on it. just select what you wish to have on it (checked or not). you can also customize it, so just play with it a bit until its exactly what you want shown.

Unless you are talking about the ‘tray’ at the bottom…

Also, if you cant stand it and want it completely gone…remove any ‘toolbar’ from your control panel.
Lets say its called ‘ABC toolbar’.

These steps also depend upon your OS (operating system 98, 98se, ME, 2000, XP or whatever).

1. go to start (left bottom)
2. then go to ‘settings’ or ‘control panel’
3. find and click on ‘add remove programs’ (NOT add remove hardware)
4. look at the list and find what ever ‘toolbar’ you cant stand, click on it, then click ‘remove’

if you cant find the control panel, just do a find file for it. in the keywords just put ‘control’ and the file will come up in the list. Go to the ‘add remove programs’ from there.

If its still bugging you, even after you have ‘offically’ removed it, you may need to find the programs file and manually delete it. some programs leave behind the folder, even after removing the program (as it claims).

Just do a find file search (of the programs name) and delete it. MAKE sure it’s the right file.

If you mean all of the websites you've been to, listed on the search bar above, then just right mouse on your tray, click on 'properties', click the tab that says 'start menu', then click on the button that says 'clear'.

No matter what your trying to do, when done, then just restart your machine :)

The above answers are correct, but if that doesn't work, go to the View menu on your browser's menu bar, then toolbars, and see if the one you referred to has a checkmark next to it. If it does, select it, which will uncheck it, and the bar should go away. If that doesn't work go to the website that installed the bar and get the uninstaller for it.

You need to have the free SpyBot to get rid of that. Download SpyBot from the following link, check for updates if any and then "Check for Problems' in the 'Search and Destroy' menu. SpyBot recognises 'My WebSearch' toolbar as a threat, so it will get rid of that.
