Yes, its definitely worth trying! You have an inbox capacity of about 2.8 GB, you can chat directly from Gmail, even without Google Talk, and you won't get as many spams as in Yahoo.

Yes it is. Here, read about it:
1. You've got a huge amount of storage for your email: almost 3 GB
2. You can use Google Docs and Spreadseets (web based word editor and excel spreadsheets )
3. You can create your own web site with localized downloads ( 100 MB ) and tons of features.
4. You can use Google Reader ( web based rss, xml, atom.. reader ); it's better than most desktop applications ( keyboard shortcuts ... and lots of features )
5. You can use their calendar.....
6. A lot of other things (all free)
7. You don't need to switch right away; create your account see how it works; and switch when you feel comfortable (like me) Eventually you'll see the greatness of Gmail.

It really depends on what you like. Gmail is simple. Almost too simple, for my likes. It has a very sparse layout. The expansive storage capabilities are nice, but have you ever actually had a problem with the data level in Yahoo? I didn't think so. G-mail has a lot of features that you could pick, I, for one, had no idea what some of the options in the settings were. The worse that happens is that you try, don't like it, and ignore it. Yahoo goes far behind e-mail though, so don't get rid of it. (IM, avatars, *cough-look-where-you-are*)

personally, i think the interface of yahoo is better than gmail. but gmail has a huge capacity so it's great to have one for large attachments. yahoo is becoming more and more like outlook express with its features. i'm sure google will follow.

It's nice, get one. But don't ditch the yahoo mail in favor, a yahoo account is still handy.

Google! it fairly is plenty extra extra handy to apply and is plenty extra time-honored. additionally it comes up with extra suitable effects. Yahoo has a tendency to be slower and slightly extra good to apply. besides, I vote Google! canine Lover :D
