Lime wire caused my daughter a lot of trouble on her computer. The continiusly tried to dominate her computer with their programs, ad-ware-and spyware. They also went to a package deal where they used part of your ram when yuo are not on their site though their spyware.
When she deleted lime ware they deleted all of her music files.
YOU best leave them alone and buy your music>()>

Downloading Limewire should not be the thing to worry about. It's the viruses that you can get from downloading from P2P applications like Limewire. Make sure you have a good antivirus program that scans all your downloads.
Otherwise, Limewire is one of the best P2P programs. Limewire is great for mp3's. Bittorrent is better for tv episodes, entire albums, programs and games.

using the limewire may invite adwares, viruses, spywares etc
get a firewall before using limewire
