I just bought a used AOL DSL modem and was hoping it would work with my Qwest DSL, but it doesn't. Why not?
I just found a really nice, new looking DSL modem that I bought for $5 at a local used store. On the bottom of the modem, there is a sticker that says "Please return to AOL if you cancel your service," so I assume it was a DSL modem for AOL service. I have Qwest DSL service and wanted to eliminate the $5 monthly charge for modem rental, so I bought this used modem, but it won't work with my DSL service. Does Qwest have the MAC # for my modem in their system, so only the modem they give me will work for the service, or is there any way I can get this other modem to work for me? I appreciate any help. Thanks a bunch!

i do not believe it and there'll consistently be those who spend their funds on those issues before the needs. although I do imagine that is an abuse of human rights and privateness to attempt this. because they receives those different non-needs from someplace. perhaps they are going to promote the nutrition they purchase and promote it at a more less expensive cost to purchase the failings they opt for and characteristic even a lot less nutrition than before. for this reason turning out to be a black market in bartering. susceptible those with addictions will be exploited on the black market and characteristic even a lot less nutrition. that is more less expensive for the authorities to pay their funds right into a economic company account. And that is as a lot because the fellow to spend it besides they opt for. in the experience that they don't spend it properly then they could bypass to their dad and mom, associates, or soup kitchens for nutrition. there are a range of of decrease back up structures there when you do not spend properly.

not enough information on the modem you want to use instead of qwest's modem. another alternative is to buy your existing modem from qwest. I own three qwest modems, if any one is interested in them i would be willing to sell them as for i don't have a need for them any more.
