Is there anyway I can upload my digital camera images from a public computer (like a internet cafe?) ONTO THE NET! not on the computer its-self! of corse using cords. but without downloading the software?

Reason: I'm going to be in tokyo in 2 months, and would like to keep a photo blog of my travels.

It sounds like you already have everything planned as far as where the pictures will go if you can get them off the camera. Windows XP should give you no trouble... the software that comes with the camera is optional (although they never tell you this). Windows XP has its own camera connection software; after plugging in the camera, it should auto-detect it, install the drivers, and ask you if you want to copy the pictures off it. It is pretty easy to figure out. You will have to copy the pictures to the computer temporarily, I think.

If the computer does not allow you to create files on it even temporarily, then you would have a problem. You could get a card reader and plug it into the USB port; it would appear as a removable disk and you would be able to see the pictures as JPEG files on the memory card. That would be the best method, assuming you could get to a USB ports on the computer you were using.

Google is a seek engine so which you will no longer promptly upload your photographs to Google photographs as all seek engines use internet-crawlers (like digital spiders) to bypass out and grab a gaggle of information (consequently photos) and order them on the internet website (Google). Google could inspite of the fact that have a paid promoting/image internet hosting element (i'm unsure).

yes, just connect your device and if you can click on "My Computer" and look for "rRemovable devices" open up the description for your device and you should be able to view your pictures. to upload to the net without saving to the computer.. Just browse back to that same location under my computer and choose your pics to upload
