Internet - December 2006

I don't even know what kind of details I can add other then this started happening about a couple of months ago... But I have done a ton of downloading of programs and changes to my computer... I am just not sure as to what is causing this. It seems like I have some web page setting wrong... most things work, so it is not like I am tempted to reformat (what a pain that would be at this point)... Please help if you know how to get me past this. Thanks!

Okay, we have internet service from AT&T, but it gets so slow.

Here are the problems:
*Our internet either is gone or gets really slow on and after 5:00PM.
*When it is still going after 5PM, it is slow as heck.
*When our internet is gone after 5PM, that icon that looks like a pc at the bottom left of the screen still says "Signal Strength: Excellent"
*Our router(i dunno what it's called, this is what I think it's called, with all those "ethernet" things)is just about 3 meters away from the pc.


What do we do?

I tried logging on with my usual password and my email like always. I hadn't been on myspace in a few months and was gonna check out my profile and messages and stuff.It wouldn't let me in. When I tried it kept asking me if I wanted to create a profile. I already have a profile!!! I thought maybe I had the wrong psswd, but I had them mail it and I typed it in...still no luck. I even copied and pasted it from the email they sent after a few tries of manually typing it. What happened?
