it's all about an attendance system in the classroom, where the students must register first with their name, student number, and mobile phone numbers of their parents. their fingerprints must also be included in the registry.

now, 20 minutes after the class starts (let's say after 8am) the pc must automatically send a message to the parents via mobile phone of the students who didn't log-in. then the doors must then auto-locked (i plan to use solenoid).

please give me some links relating on my project... i'm searching too but it's giving me a hard time because i'm not yet familiar with making programs concerning with integration of pc to circuits, though i'm using vb.net already, beginner stage... sniff...

Whenever i double click my Drive (i.e. C,D,E,F), I see a Window saying that please select a program for this type of file to run (This window is the same as when you doule click an unknown formatted file). There were some spywares and viruses in my PC but i have told them good bye but the problem still exists. I am using Win Antispyware 2006 and McAfee Virus Scan 8. Please don't suggest any other security softwares. If it needs to config my windows registry I am ready and also I know a little bit about Windows registry.

I use Zone Alarm and it was working fine for around 1.5 months and now all of a sudden it won't let me access web sites and I have to disable it, and I don't want to disable it, but I can't find the option of keeping it on and accessing websites at the same time? What do I do?

I have a few computers and one of them is mostly for kids to play with. I use it's hard drive as a "slow storage" of sorts over my network. I'd like to know if there's a way to make it so I can have a program run over windows with some simple buttons that link to games or a children's website, while still allowing me to access the hard drive over the network.

The computer is running windows XP.
