Repair book is telling me that my quad w/ chain drive should have a clutch. But compared to the picture in the book there is no place on my engine for a clutch mechanism. I have two ways to brake the rear wheel, a foot brake and a hand brake. According the my book the hand brake should be a clutch lever. Was there such a thing as an automatic from suzuki in 87?

It is a one speed....black with orange trim. I am in Europe. It doesn't go full speed--what can I do so that it goes as it should?

i do not live near a junkyard that will accept a motorcyle.

we just bought the bike, so i am not wanting to spend a lot of money. i just need something to make the ride a little more comfortable for me (the passenger) the seat is fine, but i need some back support for comfort and so i don't feel like i am falling off of the back of it. i can go to a local dealer and get a tall sissy bar with brackets and pad (everything i need) for 200, but i was looking for a better deal on the net. can anyone help?

I am looking into getting my first bike. I am going to college and need something with good gas mileage and is realitive cheap. It wont be for racing or showing off just a nice ride to and from work and to and from home and school. I really don't know much about them and I am researching and trying to get a good bike and would like some help and opinions other than don't get one. A friend of mine is selling an '85 Honda Nighthawk 650. It's in great shape, but I'm not sure if its right for me. I would prefer a sports bike, but I'm still learning about bikes. I also want something with a decent sized engine. I don't want to get bored with it too soon.
I also feel that the Nighthawk 650 might be a little too bulky for me. I'm about 5'7'' and 130lbs. How much does height and weight matter? I would really appreciate some input and advice. I've seen a lot of people post answers that are negative and not constructive so I would really appreciate constructive/positive input and advice.

This never happened on any of my old bikes (German and Japanese). Gay guys tell me that Harleys are the bike of choice in the gay community and that if I don't want to be thought of as being gay, I shouldn't wear leather and I shouldn't ride a Harley. My BMW used to get me chicks all the time, but I sold it and bought a Harley because Harley guys were always telling me I'd get more tail if I had a Harley. The only chicks that ever seem interested are nasty scrappy fat chicks. They seem to be the only ones that hang out at Harley hangouts. I'm beginning to think a goodly percentage of guys that ride Harleys are gay, and that I may have made a mistake in buying a Harley. Could this be true? I mean, I never thought about it before, but the whole leather thing is kinda erotic in a gay sorta way.

I just moved to North Carolina three months ago... I built a shed and it got full quick. I had to leave a cardboard box outside and it contained my motorcycle helmet (Full Face, DOT approved). Now I want to use it and it has a few ants living in it. I need this helmet so I want to get rid of them without destroying the helmet.

I want to match the original gelcoat - large flake silver metallic - on a 1972 Ducati 450 Desmo. This motorcycle had what looked like some of the fiberglass power boat finishes that were popular at the time. It was called the Silver Shotgun by some. I would like to use a urethane base automotive finish rather than the original polyester gelcoat. Thanks!
