The player works beautifully for playing Region 1 (US) NTCS discs. Even when re-authoring a region 2 disc to support region 1, the player still refuse to play the discs if they are encoded in PAL. This is hyper weird, since all stand-alone players alway play both PAL and NTCS.

I am a college student now, and am getting a car in the next 6 months or so. Right now I am driving a hand-me-down '95 Maxima. I am really leaning toward the 2006 Civic Si (new) because of its performance/price/appearance.

The only problem is, I have not driven a stick shift in my life, and the Si is only offered in manual. I am familiar with how MT cars work (I know when to shift and how to let off the gas/clutch), but have never actually driven one.

My parents have had MT cars in the past, so I am sure they could help me out. Is it not wise to learn on a new car? Thank you, and advice is appreciated.

Second, (not that I am a crazy driver), but does the 06 Civic Si throw you back in the seat when under hard acceleration? I want a car that can be aggressive if necessary. Thanks for any help.

I have a 94 accord ex with 149,000 miles on it, and a 96 accord dx with 179,000.
The 94 has leather, 6 disk cd changer, and power everything, as well as a VTEC motor. The 96 is more basic, with cloth seats, roll-up windows, and an aftermarket sunroof. It also has a six disc CD changer.
the 94:
Has siezed brake components and 0% left on the front pads. It has a bad front motor mounts. The boot where the axel connects to the tranny is torn, so the car will leak a little tranny fluid because of this. The leather is worn, and the interior overall is fairly dirty. The windshield needs replaced. The A/C doesn't work.
The 96

Needs the timing belt changed, and a upper control arm. The headliner is torn and sagging in the rear.

The 96 is getting inspected today and I should have a better Idea of its condition afterwards. The 96 seems to be "tighter", in that it runs and drives a little smoother, and it's A/C works. Provided nothing else is found wrong w/ the 96, which car do I keep?

I just bought a Honda Civic DX and don't have the owners manual. I have been driving stick for 11 years now, but my boyfriend is arguing with me about when to shift. I would like to know the info that is usually in the owners manual about when to shift. Thanks!

Our 88 Honda Civic started having starting problems a few weeks ago. Sometimes it starts just fine.... other times it just won't catch - but it's always eventually started after a few tries. It's been starting great last few days - then suddenly NOTHING. No Sound, not even clicking.... just turn the key and nothing happens at all. Battery has plenty of juice - that's been ruled out.

Questions: Could it be a fuse - or is it more likely the starter? Where are both of these located?

Anybody have a Rough Estimate of cost for parts and labor if it's the starter?

I am looking to buy a car, which happens to be a 96 honda accord. I test drove it, but the gas needle was under the E. In park the steering wheel shakes, and when I make a stop, the steering wheel shakes. I don't want to buy this car if that is a major problem that will cost me a lot to get fixed. The person who is selling this car to me wants $2100.00 for it. The car has 124,000 miles on it. How can i find out if i am getting a good deal or not? I don't want to buy a piece of junk and then have to spend a whole lot of money for repairs. Please help
