The Si is a Coupe, the Hybrid is a sedan. What body style do you prefer?

Be aware that typically the more horsepower the car, the higher the insurance, so do check the differences in insurance rates when comparing prices. (Some insurers, like Travelers, will give discounts to hybrid drivers.)

As for whether you should buy a new car, only you can answer that - do you have the finances to purchase and maintain one, and a place to keep it? Same goes for what car you buy - do the research, take them on test drives (preferrably an extended test drive or rental over your usual commute route), and see what one you like better, feels better.

Don't neglect to add in the tax credit for buying a HCH when calculating your purchase cost.

I think the gas mileage for the SI and Hybrid is

Road/Highway 23/32(SI) and 49/51(Hybrid)

But rememer the SI only comes in a stick shift I think.
Whilst hybrid comes in Stick or Auto models.

So you can either pick the sports, 0-60 in around 8 seconds I think.
or the hybrid that does 0-60 in around 11/13 seconds.

They are two different type of cars in terms of choice.. you going to save on fuel? or you want to have a faster car... thats the choice really.

The hybrid almost goes twice as far on one gallon of fuel.. :)
Choices choices....

honda si b/c is fairly fuel efficient and its fast. hybrids in general will end up costing u alot because ur basically paying for maintenence of two motors rather than the normal one, all gas, motor.

u should prob check the website at honda.com so you get the most accurate information. However just know that the one thing in which car specifications are inaccurate are in gas mileage. Expect less mpg from all cars. For ex., my car should have 22/31 mpg, yet i still only get about 21.5 mpg overall.

if you want mileage, get the hybrid if power get si. si is around 30mpg-hybrid is around 50mpg-hyb. is gutless, with the cvt trans in it-also very expensive to fix trans.get the 5speed if you do.also hybrids have ima(integrated motor assist) battery issues. note that they are 144 volt system and you should not touch anything in the battery compartment or any bare orange wires-you will almost surely be killed.SO-Irecciomend the si as my choice

You're lucky you CAN buy a civic...
I'd go for the hybrid because it's the last word of technology and I'd go for the si because the new technology is still too "new"...
Eeeemmmmm didn't help you much...?

You should by a scooter. You'd look cooler and get better gas mileage.
