build the motor
(pistons, rods, valves, v springs, retainers, cams, head bored over .40, block guard and arp headstuds and a nice tune.
and boost the bloody hell outta it
20+psi you will be looking at 350-450 + hp
and abt 300-360 tq

btw V8 head
the replace ment for displacement is boost
and god invented turbo lag to give v8's a chance
and v8s are part of the reason the gas prices are so high

I have heard that if you eliminate unnecessary wieght from the vehicle it will increase your acceleration. Of course buy all performance parts, and maybe perhaps a nitrous system. Or engine swap and put in the new honda ridgeline engine in the civic. If you did that though ya might want to make your car all weel drive, otherwise you will be peeling out everywhere.
