The last time this happened, the problem went away. Today is started again. With the alert noise & display of low fuel indicator coming on, and then the fuel needle indicator goes all the way to empty and then back to full. 1997 SLS Cadillac

I have a 350 in my vehicle (I believe it's a run of the mill engine, year is approx. 1984) and I believe the bearing to be bad. At first I thought it was the oil pump, but have been lead to believe other wise. The symptoms are low oil pressure once the engine warms up (and I am running 20/50 weight with an added qt. of lucas oil) and a knocking noise that accompanies the low oil pressure. I have changed the oil pump once to a high volume oil pump and that did not resolve the issue.

Two of the idiot lights are on - someone said quit using ethanol and they'll go out. But I always have used ethanol since the vehicle was new. I know I need a new wheel bearing - so the ABS lights are on. But has anyone heard anything like that?

I have Mr Gasket head gasket laying around. Are those good gaskets if not what is the best ones? Oh what is the best way to clean up the old gaskets and oil dirt?
