I currently own a 1995 Chevy Caprice with only 80,000 miles on it that runs good and looks good for the year. I own this car. My question is I am a 24 year old guy would save the money and drive it till it dies or spend the cash and buy a new ride... Honest feedback thanks!

A 95 Caprice is a decent ride. If it's in good condition, I'de keep it and save your money til you have enough to buy what you really want. Now, and embarassing car would be like a gremlin, or some old 80's oldsmobile, but the Caprice is a decent car.

I like the fact that you are bullet-proof to peer pressure from other people that think cars are a reflection of you as a person. Save your money and keep this car. At least you can afford to put $ 60 gas and drive/insure this car, which some people will never be able to with a new one.
WildBills' right about investing that extra money, too.

Dude, why would you give a rats-@ss what anyone thinks? You keep your Caprice, and your money. And don't fret about gas mileage -- you can buy a LOT of fuel for that extra $26,000.00 you are saving not buying that '06 Honda.
(note: $100.00 per month invested in mutual fund 401K will yeild over 1.3 MILLION dollars in thirty years. Still feel embarrassed?)

They are excellent cars. At least you don't have one from '91-93, since the rear wheelwells look ugly on those. They are reliable cars, and the fact that you can get 25 mpg with them on the highway is pretty amazing. Depending on the colors and the wheels that are on it, it can be a very handsome car.

Not if it gets you where you want to go. Just keep up the maintenance on the Chevy. If and when you get a good job with excellent pay, then get something new. But until then, keep your car. Who wants a car payment?

It's not the ship its the motion of the ocean... or its the ship; whichever you subscribe to. I'm gay and a hawt guy + a hawt car does = dreamy, but he is the one that needs to cross the finish line, not the car, and neither of which are based on performance.

if it has the 5.7 engine hang onto it man! sweet car...never embarassing. as long as it's not a rustbucket and it still looks presentable. you can put over 200,000 miles on those cars, so if you drive it til it dies then it'll be awhile. it's gotta be rocket fast if it has the 5.7 LT1 engine w/ only 80,000 miles. keep it man!

If I had it to do over again, I'd stick with my old car. Car payments stink! Use what you have until you buy a new car with cash.

think of all the other things you can do with your money, keep driving it, all cars go down in value, save for a house, it will go up!
