You didn't mention whether it acts like it is running out of fuel when it does this so I am assuming it isn't.
If you don't notice it actually running badly when this happens, then I would say it could be a fuel sensor of some sort.

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU FUELED WITH CAR RUNNING THIS WILL CAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON ALSO CAUSE FUEL GAGE TO ACT UP ALSO SO SHUT ENGINE OFF WHEN FUELING....
