are all those numbers supposed to be a vin? what year is your vehicle? give me the real vin and i can tell you.

if the engine is still in the car take a flash light and look in the back of the motorwhere the tranny bolts up there is like a little lip there just above the lip between the top of the motor and that lip and it will tell you what it is it will be the only three numbers there you cant use the vin# because you dont know it is the original engine unless you bought it new

Get your engine BLOCK numbers, not the VIN. And then go to www.Mortec.com they have the most information on Chevy engines.

a year alone might help if you knew a lil more we might be able to help a lil more -numbers you gave dont even make sense---look mine up 540bbmerlin800-0012----in front of passenger side head give me that # and i can tell you alot

is it really big? with big valve covers? are the rocker arms staggered, or are they the same the entire length of the head? are you duggie from san antonio tx??
