It sounds like its beyond the thermostat. You probably either blew a head gasket, or even worse, cracked the head.
Have someone look at it who knows what their doing.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this happened to me a couple of years ago.

Does your oil look weird. If it does, you may have a cracked head or block. At the least it sounds like a blown head gasket, which allows coolant into the cylinders, causing it to lose power and run hot. If the coolant is dripping from under the car when parked. It may be a clogged Cat. Stop driving. Consult a professional.

You may have a head gasket leak that need to be looked after. Look for oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil. The shurest way to tell is to pressurize your rad and cooling system. This should find the leak or at least if there is a pressure drop.

Leaking hoses would cause it to run hot but not lose power. You better check out the head gasket. Don't drive it until you do, you could blow the motor. I hope this helps.

Get a diagnostics run on it. It may cost you $50+ but it will be much better than ruining your engine for good. Do you need any belts replaced?
