Make sure the screws holding your wipers are screwed properly. That happened to my caddy once and I almost changed the wiper motor. ($$$$$)

A friend with a GMC truck just went through this. His had bad solder connections on the circuit board in the wiper assembly. He said there had been a recall, but fixed it himself. Check for a recall on your truck.

wiper module -ubnolug wiper motor three lil torx screws in front of motor install a new one -shouldnt take 10 minutes very common on these trucks

check the modulator...my 96 Sonoma had a recall back in 97 and I had to get it replaced

Could be a bad ground connection.
