Okay, so I have a friend that has not paid taxes for over 10 years. I am trying to help him straighten out his financial stuff. What can he do or how can he go about settling with the IRS, or get set up on a payment plan? He is a 10-99 employee.

When i did my taxes i had two w2's and a 1099 form to file. The 1099 was around 13,000 (i believe, less than 20,000 for sure) - i now owe the IRS 4900 - is this correct or could i have filed differently to keep from having to pay so much.

My husband is the only one who works. I am a stay at home mom. He makes good money, but we would like to have more on our paychecks. He claims zero right now on the W-4. We always get a big refund at the end of the year, but we would rather have a little more throughout the year. Would changing what we claim to 2 or 3 change anything.or would it not be that much of a difference?

I have been offered a job as a personal assistant for a company that is based out of china and I live in the u.s.a. They plan to pay me $500/week but I don't think they are deducting any taxes. How do I know how much to put aside so that when tax time comes I will have the funds available if I need to pay taxes?

I'm interested in buying a investment property. Most of the buildings that I'm looking at has property taxes over $5k. Do landlords normally "add" that into the monthly rent?

My thinking is that I should guestimate my total costs for the property and divide it by each rental unit. Am I correct in this assumption?

I was part in an LLP partnership that owes the IRS taxes. The partnership has been dissolved but still owes the IRS taxes. The IRS has notified the partnership of its intention to take steps to forcibly collect the partnership taxes.

Doe the IRS have to notify me of its intent to either put a lien on my personal property or its intent to try to garnish my personal wages prior to doing so?

or is the IRS's notice to my former company of the IRS' possible actions against the company (LLP) sufficient legal notice to me as an individual of any actions that the IRS can take against me individuallY?

I don't want to get a surprise garnishment of my wages or a surpise lean on my personal property for taxes that my former partnership owes the IRS.

Thank you for your help in this matter.
