I am 14 years old.I want a bank account.Where can I get a bank account at?In my city we have wachovia,Bank of America,Carter's etc.

my boyfriend has about 5500 in a personal loan w/ aobut 29% interest, with a mim. of 230 a month

and he has about 500 on a credit card w/ 22 % interest

i tell him that he should just pay off the credit ASAP cuz the interest is high THEN start paying over on the loan....but at least he only has one bill to pay..

what do you guys think?

also, isnt personal loan just as bad as a credit card? he doesnt seem to think so.

My teacher just throw us a problem on managerial accounting, and I don't know what to do...

Tracy’s Trims is a hair salon that specialized in trims that maintain customers’ hairstyles. The only service available at Tracy’s Trims is minor variations on a “20 minute” haircut for which the customer is charged $10. The shop has five (5) newly trained “trimmers.” (Tracy does not work in the salon. And, as owner/entrepreneur, she takes no salary.) Each trimmer is paid an annual salary of $18,000. All equipment is leased on an annual basis including store fixtures at $2,500 per year, and haircutting equipment at $2,000 per year. Building space is leased at a rate of $500 per month. Tracy is concerned about the salon’s cost structure and seeks your advice.

She ask us to:
1. Compute the contribution margin per haircut.
2. Compute the annual break-even point in number of haircuts.

I know the CM per unit formula, but I have no idea how to find the Variable Cost per hair cut, please help..

The person wrote me a bad check that I deposited in my bank account. Since the bank cleared the check, I assumed everything was alrighty. today I was shocked to see that I was 700 over drawn in my bank because that check bounced and I needed to pay bills with that check. The bank even took my paycheck to pay for the overdraft fees. I live in the State of California. Does anyone know the laws for getting that money back? Cant the bank do something about it?

I have a cashier's check, and the routing number is the number for the bank. The check number and the MICR check number agree. I did e-mail the bank.

I stopped paying on a $1000 personal loan when I was in college. Nothing happened for a while, but about a month ago they sent me a court paper in the mail (which was optional to go to). Well I didn't go to court, but now I'm really worried what they can do to me If I don't pay it...ahh!!

I have been out of a job for about a month now and my savings account is running very low. I'm signing up for a direct deposit. I need a voided check. I have a checking account, but I don't use and don't have checks. Will I have to order checks or can I just ask my bank for one voided check?

I believe it is a scam. They sent me a check for $4, 950.80 for payment to me for a grant. They want me to send Judy Mason 4, 988.00 for a fee to process the remaining amount which is 35,850.00. The check looks lilke it is real. They do not ask for my account number or ssN or nothing. Just cash the check and send judy her fee and within 5 to 7 business days they will issue me a check for 35,850.00. Sounds like a scam?

The bank from which it was written is not within driving distance of me. I also don't want to sign up for a line of credit to access the money.Do all banks hold checks for larger sums? It is just my bank? Should I open an account somewhere else?
