I was reading on yahoo finance about an "options"..well..option. It seems like soemthing i would want to get into. However, i am not completely sure what an "option" is.

I realize the importance of saving money and investing for the future. I would like to start now. I am currently 25 and on my way into the wonderful world of marital bliss. I opened a Roth- IRA? when i was 18 and i have not been able to put any money into it. I would also like to trade some of the stocks i have in the IRA towards something that may make me a little more money. I am worried that i may lose the little bit of money i do have invested in my retirment.

What would be a safer option for my IRA stock that can make me a little more money, but won't end up burning me. Right now i am currently involved with VanKempen? and ..i forget the other one.

I need to know , at my age what are some other options i can look into for investing towards my future. And i mean actual "investments".

Thank you!

Trust me.. i wish i didnt have to ask this question. But unfortunately this has been a rough month finance wise.

I sent my landlord a check.. and he usually doesnt cash it on a certain day.. just whenever he feels like it.

It did not come out of my account today yet.. is it safe to say it wont until tomorrow? or can that payment come out any time through out the day? ( I didnt know if they only process checks in the morning along with all other transactions or if it can be taken out anytime)

Thanks! Im just hungry and get paid (direct deposit) tomorrow morning. aka- if i could use that money today to get lunch.. without the fear of going under.. id be a happy camper. But i have a feeling thats not the case.

As mortgage rates fell to lows not seen since Eisenhower was president I refinanced my mortgage. There were offers for interest only loans and adjustable rate mortgages with rates less than 3% that would have resulted in ridiculously low monthly payments but I saw the risk in those and instead took a 4.875% 15-year fixed mortgage. Now the Bush administration is brokering a deal to freeze the rates on those adjustable rate mortgages.

How is that not just rewarding people for being stupid? What's next, having the casinos and lotteries give back money to those who played and didn't win?

Since we're doing "do overs" here, how about they give me back the extra interest I paid because I was smart enough not to go for the ARMs?

I am ready to invest but I've heard it can be somewhat expensive to start a roth IRA. I have heard I should wait for a year where i have alot of deductions (such as having a kid) before I open one. But I also read somewhere that a roth IRA can be started with as little as $100. I want to open asap. Anyone with any advice would be helpfull.

I was wondering if one's money contributed to an IRA could be lost due to any sort of disaster. For example, if the brokerage becomes bankrupt.

a. What is the coupon rate of this bond?

b. What is the current yield?

c. Why is the current yield higher than the stated coupon rate?

Someone please help and explain how you did this thanks!

HE SAID HE INCLUDED THE TRUCK IN HIS BANKRUPTCY BUT DID NOT MAKE THE PAYMENTS. I OFFERED TO REFI IN MY NAME ONLY, HE REFUSED. THE FINANCE CO COULD NOT FIND HIM, SO OF COURSE THEY FOUND ME, I TOLD THEM WHERE THE TRUCK WAS AND IT WAS REPO'D. WHEN IT WAS SOLD AT AUCTION I HAD TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE. IF I WERE TO FIND HIM, CAN I SUE HIM FOR AT LEAST HALF? I UNDERSTAND MY PART...BUT HE SHOULD HAVE TO PAY SOMETHING!!

My father is a US citizen currently living abroad in Europe, he is 66 and is thinking of cashing out his Traditional IRA account to our bank account in the US. When he tried to get in touch with Vanguard, their customer service was automated and sent him a bunch of forms with no real answer. So his questions are:

1. How much of his IRA can he cash out at age 66 without penalty?

2. Will there be any taxes?

I am in 8th grade and the school is doing this fundraiser for kids who can't afford to go on a field trip where kids sell Hershey with or without almonds, take 5, and Reeces peanut butter cups, kitkats, and carmelloes. however, there were so many people selling the boxes of candy alongside me, that the chances of somebody buying from me were one in a billion, making it hard to make any money.
I decided to buy butterfingers, mini recees, snickers, and kitkats from Casco because they are really popular and i make much more profit from selling Casco candy than school fundraiser candy, but people are telling me its illegal. I explained to them that i checked the candy for "no individual sail" text and there was none. Also, Casco candy was designed for people to sell because of the big boxes, from my understanding. My question is, is it illegal to sell candy you get at a store for a fundraiser? I am NOT lying when I say all the profits go directly into my hopefully possible fieldtrip.

Today I received a mail saying that if I used my debit card/credit card overseas between 1996 and 2006, I am entitled to money from a class action suit due to transaction/conversion fees. My gut tells me it's a scam, so I did some research, and I'm still not convinced because these people are asking for my bank account number to process my claim. Can anyone tell me if they received this letter as well, and did you find that it was actually legit?? (I spent a good total of 2 years overseas during the period mentioned) ---They have a website ccfsettlement.com, but that doesn't mean anything, it can still be a rotten scam. Thanks!

I am at the mercy of a very slow alertpay money order transaction because I can't use my credit card with them.
They only allow credit card transactions for certain countries.

Although Paypal works well for me, they don't transfer cash to E-gold like Alertpay does.

Hey everyone!!!!

I am already working

However I was interested in finding a job online. I would like to have some extra money for christmas. i know about online surveys already, but it takes forever to get your money and most of them are scams anyway.

Is there anything out there where I can start working today (from home) and actually start seeing money in my bank account (or paypal what ever the case may be) TODAY? Not really interested in selling products and most of those are also scams anyway. In my opinion if I want to start making money why should I pay someone else? And get nowhere I may add!! =P

Anyway, hope someone can help me. Remember I am not interested in giving out my credit card information. I am not lazy and am willing to work to earn some extra money. I am not afraid to try out new jobs, just as long I am not scammed and living in a gutter next week =P !!

Thank you in advance =) =) =) !!!!!!

If I default on a RV loan (750.00/13 years left on the note) but continue to make 75.00 to 100.00 dollar per month payments, and not missing a payment, (I know they want full payments) can they still take me to court and sue for the remainder amount (to get higher payments) after they sell the RV, or is there a reduced amount I could pay (10%/20%) to keep from going to court? Again, I know they would want 100% of the original payment, but what amount would legally or otherwise prevent them from taking me to court, if any?
