I am £2000 overdrawn with the bank....on top of that i owe £1000 on my credit card to nationwide and £1000 to Halifax one credit card (its new so i have the interest free period). I am wondering the best way to clear this? Is it better to carry on with my credit card payments or is it better to get a loan and just consolidate my debts? I see asda are doing a loan at 5.5% would this work out better monetary wise to pay this loan off over a period than an overdraft and two credit cards? what loans would be good?

I have just bought my first flat. I have enough money to live comfortably on my regular job, but I want to bring in some extra spending money.

I am considering picking up a second job. I have considered bar work or a shop job, but I'm after more ideas/suggestions.

The job would have to be pretty flexible with its hours, as it obviously has to work around my current 8-5.30 job.

I would be willing to do work at home "donkey work" like assembling things/envelope stuffing, but I have no idea where to start as the internet is basically covered in scammers.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I need to track my daily expenses without having to get online. I really need to have a simple one cos I am not that good in finance. Alternatively, if anyone can help me in creating one, I would really appreciate that too. Thanks.

I realize that $100,000 isn't a great deal of money, but still I'm curious as to how it might change your life if at all.

What is the best (inexpensive) Financial management software out there? Right now I use Microsoft Money 2005 standard. I've never tried anything else, but I don't really like it. Granted, it IS faster than hand writing everything into my check register, and it does help me see where my money is going, but first of all, it automatically categorizes my transactions a lot, but it gets it wrong a lot of the time. But more importatntly, I'm disappointed with the budget part of it. Maybe it's just because I have the standard edition, but it just doesn't seem to helpful for creating a budget. I'm looking for something very user friendly, with plenty of advice, and understanding about how humans spend and waste money...if you get my drift. It's just for my family's personal finances.

Is there anything free out there?
