My credit card is running a special for 6 months no interest charges. Knowing this would it benefit me by paying the minimum? Will my credit score grow or does it matter if I pay the balance off every month or just the minimum?

Someone wrote me a personal check & I'm not sure if I can still cash it. It doesn't have an expiration date on the check, but I know most personal checks are only valid for a certain amount of days. I think it might only be 90? Please help! Thanks!

How much would a husband and wife with 2 children and a cat need to make yearly to have a nice lifestyle. Just a nice size home in a good neighborhood, new vehicles, yearly vacation and not having to wory about money all the time.

We aren't looking for an extravagant lifestyle. Just a 9-5 type lifestyle where we can comfortably raise our family and have money for retirement.

Neither of us want high stress jobs that take away from family life. Family, NOT money, is most important to us. My husband works at a bank and is thinking of going back to school. I am majoring in psychology . We are in our early 20's, no children yet.

How much would we need to make yearly (household income) to achieve this?

I was at work (I live in Canada currently) and I was handling some customers from the states. They had a Bank of America Visa card. I asked "On your credit?" and they replied this was their debit card. In Canada, debit cards don't have a credit card branding whatsoever, so I was confused at first, but it just ran as a credit transaction. They signed the slip and left.

Now my question is how does they work? Is it just a debit card but without having to use a PIN Number? Do you confuse the two in your wallet?

I'm 24 years old, and I've been working at my job for 2.5 years. It doesn't pay much (26,000/year) but I'm in the process of finding a new one. I have a pretty decent amount of debt, but have a decent start to saving ($2,000). I'm able to make minimum payments on all my debt every month, and able to cover living expenses, but I want to get my debt paid down and start building some wealth. I know I'm smart and savvy enough to be able to build wealth and make good decisions regarding my finances, but some direction and information would be helpful.

Thanks!

IF someone were to get a settlement on a personal injury, but not enough to pay off all debt, and they still need to file a Chapter 13, how long can they have had that money in their posession and NOT have to report it to the bankruptcy court?

I heard it was 90 days.

I also was told you cant give anyone who you owe money to, such as someone you borrowed money from, more than $600 in the preceeding 90 days?

I recieved a check from my insurance company, and endorsed it, and made it payable to my aunt so she could deposit it in her account. Her bank accepted it and deposited it into her checking. My question is.... could the bank from which the funds are being drawn from have a problem with me endorsing it over to my aunt?
