I watch Suze orman on television and she says I can check my Fico score on myfio.com ... I've seen my credit report, I don't need that ... I don't need a subscription to myfico.com ... all I want is a number ... I want to know if I am a 700 a 750 ... a whatever.... Then olny thing I can click on that costs under 40 bucks is the "individual fico scores" and they want 14.95 times 3 (for all three credit agencies).... Is there a cheap way I can find my fico score without paying a fortune? Thanks in advance for any answers...i really do come back to read what everyone has to say. :-)

I am lost! I am in a good job now with commission. I am a broker and only count on clients I get that is based on my income. I have been at this job for 6 months so there is not much money coming in to pay my bills as of yet. I am relocated in a new area where I don't know anyone. In this job it is cold calling on people.
Three years ago I left a job of 18 years for good reasons. Went into a job that was very good until hurricane charlie came through and wiped out the business and the money I had to start the business. I have been financially strapped for about three years.I don't own credit cards so there is no credit debt. The two payments I owe that are big is the SBA and my car payment. The others are small bills that add up. I do not spend money. Every penny I earn goes into a bill and then that is not enough. I divorced four years ago. i have a daughter who has a rare disease and most of the money has gone to medical outside of insurance. The current day to day existance.

I am 25. If I have $4k, and no credit card debt, then which of the following should I put my money? (I picked $4k because of the Roth limit, but it could be any amount)
1) Car Debt (7.55%)
2) 401k (no match)
3) Roth IRA
4) Money Market (4.40%) - I do have an emergency fund.
5) Morgage (6.00%)

My sister took power of attorney over our parents. My mother has always handled most of the finances. At the time my mother was over medicated which caused her to have severe symptoms of alzheimers and so my sister put her in a nursing home and became power of attorney. Once her medication was corrected she became very coherent about 95% of the time. My father has moved in with me and my family. My sister continues to have power of attorney and we believe that she is using our parents money for her own benefit. Is there any way to determine what financial transactions have been made? Is it possible to change power of attorney even though out parents may have slight signs of alzheimers?

I have a 2000 dodge durango 4x4 that I bought 3 years ago. I was very foolish and I paid 17,000 for it, which I still owe about 15,000 to the credit union that gave "my mom" the loan because I have bad credit. The car is worth way less than what i owe on it, and I sometimes cant make the payments, which only set me back further. Right now my car is not shifting into 5th gear. Can I try to purchase a different car, using this one as a trade in, and still get lower car payments on the one I want to buy? Considering I would be using my mom to sign on my behalf. I just want to get myself into a much smarter situation financially when it comes to this car.
