I get probably three emails a day with offers to buy my items. But everyone seems to turn out the same way. Much like this:

"My name is Motukumbu, and I would like to buy your Playstation 2 for $$$ plus the cost of shipping. The shipping will actually be going to Nigeria. My daughter lives there, and her birthday is coming up soon. If possible, I would prefer to pay you through paypal. Upon receipt of payment, you could ship it and provide me with a tracking number."

Anyways, thats the jist of it. I have paypal, and I can't really seem to grasp what the scam is here. If they send me money through paypal, then its mine to transfer to my bank account as I please. the only thing i have to give him is my login/email address for paypal so he can transfer his funds. Is this a scam or do a lot of Africans simply want my used PS2?

Hi there! I'm experiencing some problems with a Yahoo! auctions buyer from Philippines. She has agreed to buy about 10 cosmetic items from me that weigh about 470 g. I suspect after wrapping the items in bubble and sealing them into a thick envelope, total package weight will be about 500 g or more.

So I've quoted the price for her from Singpost's online postage calculator which is $12.65 via airmail or $5.00 via surface for a 500 g package. Registration of any mail/package is $2.20 extra. However, after emailing her the links where I got the postage rates from, she has insisted that registered airmail rate to Philippines for a 500 grams package is only $6.25. She has also started to accusing me of trying to cheat her. Saying I've sinned and stuff like that.

First, I have no idea how she got this pricing. Even after emailing her the screenshots of the postage calculator, she still insist she's right and doesn't want to deal any more. Have I given her the wrong info??

WIth summer ending it is time to evaluate our intern however he was brought on with no experience in teh field and sadly, seeminly little desire to acquire any. There has been a definite sense of pulling teeth to get them going (not performing tasks that we discussed in a timely fashion, making themselves scarce when work comes up, etc.) There has been very little growth as far as his learning/participating in our everyday work flow.

How do I fill out his evaluation? In his defense he is a terribly nice person and the manager dropped the ball by not giving him a dedicated project or a specific mentor.

Anothe rcomplication: His dad is an executive in the company. While I wish this was not a factor I am realizing I live in the real world. How should I let this play into my evaluation?
