I also like Bill Gates. I believe he's sincere in what he's trying to accomplish. However, you can't solve these problems with money alone.
For example, the announcement on March 4,1999 that there was a new weapon in the fight against HIV/AIDS that was found in pregnant women was a milestone. However, there hasn't been any interviews or publicity about this person(s) that found this new hope for people with HIV/AIDS. Is the scientific community so naive that they don't realize that this was the first time there was this new approach to fighting disease by inhibiting microbe entry into vulnerable cells. This approach can now apply to any other disease. This was a major day for fighting disease.
That day, March 4, 1999 was a day I knew a miracle occurred. I had sent my writing to TIME magazine Feb. 23,1999. My reply from them was sent out March 5,1999.
Bill Gates has changed life for the better on this planet. He may not be Einstein but he would know when a miracle happens.

Didn't he steal his idea from Xerox, and the idea of the mouse from Mac?

BTW, he isn't the richest man in the world anymore, someone else has that title now.

He does donate a lot of money, but its a tax write off, that is why he remains so rich.

If you like him so much, why don't you marry him?

I think the only truly innovative thing BG has done is to have the audacity to charge people for software; everything else, he's jumped on someone else's idea and taken it for a ride.
