My mother-in-law accidentally shipped a $300 blender to an eBay buyer BEFORE he sent a payment. He received the item and I was never able to hear from him again.

Stupid mistake we can all agree on that, but what do I do in such case? I live in MN and he lives in CA. He won't respond to any of my emails (both the nice and the not-so-nice ones).

Should I bother the local police about this? Isn't he obligated as a side in this transaction to pay for this item whether or not it was shipped first? Isn't that like in a restaurant, that you get the food then pay?

1)Is the customer actually getting a good deal from this?
2)Does the customer actually end up paying less than they would normally (once the rebate has been sent in)?
3)How could the company possibly benefit from this?
4)Or does the store jack the price up before the rebate and then put a rebate on it so that the final price after rebate ends up being the same as it normally would?
5)What makes mail in rebates enticing?

Hi

In accounts, when a cashier's order is issued, it is taken as 'PAID' but what about issuing cheques? Is the status in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system taken as 'ISSUED' or 'PAID'? If it is definitely 'ISSUED', what is the rationale? What about 'PAID'?

Thanks

I happened to attend a BWW (brit worldwide)/ Quixtar. In this meeting they talked about making a lot of money in a very short period of time. However, they never told how, or doing what. What really surprise me was that the people who were there claimed to be teachers, engineers or even doctors. I don't why a doctor with a very good yearly income would go there. It does not make sense. What do you think?

I was wondering if anybody else has ever gotten a random letter in the mail that asks you to make copies of it and send it to 200 random people. "not friends". Included in those 200 are 6 letters to people listed on the bottom of one of the letters. You send those 6 people $1.00 and replace the bottom name on the list with your own so on your 200 mailings those people will send you $1.00 and so on. If 7.5% of the 200 do the same thing you should receive $15.00. After those 15 people send out 200 letters each you will get $225.00. Thats also 7.5 percent .and that process is repeated, and the results get bigger as it goes along until your name drops pff the list after 6 mailings. I know this is a little confusing but I was wondering if anybody ever tried it and what the results were?

worth of pennies? In other words, 100 million pennies. More than one? Think about how big the trailer is on an eighteen wheeler. If you filled it with pennies, would it hold all 100 million?

You may need to consider weight more than anything. I'm guessing you could not fill the trailer up with pennies due to weight limitiations.

I know this is a goofy question.
