No free postage, but the United States Postal Service has discounted postal rates for registered nonprofits. According to their website,

Organizations that typically are eligible for nonprofit rates include:

- Agricultural
- Educational
- Fraternal
- Labor
- Philanthropic
- Religious
- Scientific
- Veterans
- Some political committees

Individuals are NOT eligible for nonprofit rates; also, not every organization is eligible, even though you may think it qualifies based on the list above. For example, business leagues, chambers of commerce, social and hobby clubs, and certain political organizations usually are NOT eligible.

Your organization may apply for and receive nonprofit authorization, but you're not quite finished -- there are restrictions as to what may be mailed at those rates. For instance, there are restrictions on the amount and kind of advertising you can do. It’s always best to check with your local business mail entry staff before you design and print your mailpiece.

I moved as quickly as and had an identical difficulty happen after filling out a transformation of handle card for the post workplace, and not giving my new handle to everybody. I asked how this took place and became advised on the post workplace that particular agencies, and businesses are given (or can request) the hot handle rapidly from the USPS. they provide theory to it a 'provider'. the subsequent time I moved, I opened a PO field using the handle on my previous I.D. comparable difficulty with getting mail with the PO field somewhat of the yellow sticky label. I then wrote directly to the agencies i had to stay in touch with and gave them my new handle. all the different stuff would be decrease back once I close the field because of the fact they gained't have a forwarding handle.
