Customer orders 1,584 PAIRS. Each case contains 300 PAIRS. So there will be 5 cases containing 1,500 PAIRS altogether. That leaves 84 PAIRS not packed yet.
Your question asks "how many packs of 12 will you need" 12 what? 12 PAIRS? 12 gloves? I shall answer the question on the basis that you meant 12 PAIRS. On that basis, there will be 84/12 = 7 packs of 12 PAIRS each.
So the answer is 5 cases of 300 PAIRS each and 7 packs of 12 PAIRS each.

Just to be complete, in case you meant 12 gloves, that means 6 PAIRS in a pack. On this basis then, there will be 84/6 = 14 packs of 6 PAIRS each.
So then the answer would be 5 cases of 300 PAIRS each and 14 packs of 6 PAIRS each.

Is this a homework question for what class grade? You do know there is a minimum age for people to be here?

In any normal business, we use base 10 decimal, because a few employees may count on their fingers.

1500 = 5 cases of 300
84 = 7 packs of 12

Even if the numbers did not come out evening, it works.
Where I work, we would probably send the 84 in a partial container, because of the cost of shipping.

Shipping can get expensive, so we want a minimum of #s of containers, weight, amount of packing needed ... 1 container of 84 is cheaper to pack and ship than 7 of 12.

39.6 packs

1.584*300=475.2 (total pairs ordered)

475.2/12=39.6 packs

They are ordering 1.584 cases.
