I am interested in purchasing clothing/electronics off Amazon etc. Besides the standard shipping costs that are already charged with your order, would Canadian customs charge extra on the package? Thanks.

The letter is from Fidelity recovery services and says they have found 2900.00 dollars owed too me. If I sign the consent papers they get to keep 33 1/3 of that as a finders /processing fee. I actually do not have a big problem with their fee because it is money I knew nothing about. I just want to know if this is legit? Also, if the money is really there are there other ways to find it on my own.

I just typed a letter for an attorney I work with and I signed my name to the letter with just my first inital of my first name and spelled out my last name. The reason I do this is because people can't seem to get my name right, so I just thought it would be ok to just use my first initial and spell out last name ex: D. Ross. What's so bad about that?

I have told them I am not interested in their services, and have contacted the company and asked to be removed from their calling list, and they still call. There are some other fishy things about these calls as well. -(See posts by me, Tanya at http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-409-7235)

I'm looking to invest in a certain company, is there a way (apart from looking at their home website) that I can check that all their profiles and portfolios, as well as credentials, are legitimate? I do not want to, and will not, disclose the business name.

Given the recent lawsuits and the interest rates paid by the end user within the pay day loan industry, do you think this cash advance system is good or bad for the individual needing money fast?

Has anyone ever tried this offer and how much of a fluke is it???

I had a balance transfer done, then reversed since the other bank doing the transfer didn't meet what they said they would on a rate. I called both banks and said to reverse. Now I see a charge for that amount from the first bank but no money in my hand and the 2nd bank still says I owe them. So in essence now I owe two banks. It's been over a month and when I call they just say wait a week and call back. That can't just happen forever can it? It's about $1,300 owed to both institutions for a total of $2,600. I do owe someone $1,300 but not both so what would someone suggest? is it worth seeking legal action on with an attorney? I have seen tons of bad stories lately circulating on how bad banks are becoming on this kind of stuff.

I just saw a commercial saying if I join their credit union and transfer my car loan to them, I get a $500 Visa debit card. I'm not in it for the debit card. But if I transfer my car loan to them, am I refinancing? If I have a high interest rate now, if I change to them can I also get a better interest rate? What are the advantages and disadvantages to refinancing?
