I want to open a kid fun and kid safe card/ comic & toy shop. school. I don't have very much start up funds, nor the greatest credit. There's a trade center (Gibraltar Trade Center) consit of several booths with small business, mine is a little card/toy shop wich is a busy place. I have probably only 400 sq ft. This place is always packed. I haveve acess to the show area, so I have a nice size area yu-gi-oh, Magic,& other tournaments. The problem is the trade center's only open 3 days a week and just raised their rent to $1200 a month. For about $800 more(everything included) I have found a building right next to a high school and elementry school, in a plaza perfect location! what I would offer incentives for kids to keep good grades by giving store credit for good grades. I think school is impportant. Do you think the school, or church would help raise funds to keep kids of the street? Even if they don't, what are some good fundraising ideas? More detail in my profile. Any ideas?

I'm an electrician, a company I used to work for put in a bid on a multi story veterinary facility, they were ask to bid because of the outstanding job that was done at a similar facility for an associate of theirs, they eventually gave the job to another company that had a slightly lower bid ( their bid didn't include a backup generating system). Recently these people called and wanted this company to come and takeover the job because the first contractor had totally screwed up the job, in large part because they hired people off the street with absolutely no training ( and of questionable citizenship )
rather than the collective 200 years of commercial experience that
the other company had. He promptly told them to go take a flying leap and that he didn't want to deal with idiots. The question is what is it with businesses that see only one thing, the bottom line, to the total exclusion of everything else, and give absolutely no thought to what they're getting for their money.

I cancelled a check online, i didn't get a confirmation page, but i called them to see if the cancellation had gone through and the customer service rep confirmed the check number and the amount, but i just checked my account online and it shows that the bank paid it today. it was a 900.00 check that the company claimed they hadn't received so i had to send out a duplicate, but then they deposited the original one so i had the duplicate check i had sent out cancelled. what is your advice?

For the past 6 months I have been on a perfect house search (and for the owner to finance me). Things fell through w/2 of my favorite houses (leins and water damage etc). Tonight I found a guy that buys houses in foreclosures and resells them on a 24-36 month lease, although he calls it Rent-to-own. My max. budget is 30k. My father will be making the down payment and I am to make the monthly payments til it's paid off. Since I've started college I take out loans to pay my bills and figure why pay rent when the same amount could be going into a house.

What should I have in the contract to protect me and him? After the inspection and appraisal of course.

#1 People steal from their retail jobs (Circuit City & Best Buy,etc) and sell things on ebay. Considering the fact they STOLE the merchandise, they are making 110% profit.

#2 The releases of Xbox360 and PS3 had people rioting to get their hands on units - not so they could play them - but so they could sell them for extortious prices on EBay. Is this waht the world is coming to?
