I am a recent college graduate and have started a career. I want to learn more about my investment options. Everyone lists: 401K, Roth IRA and regular IRA and life insurance. But those are a given, what are my other options?

My main interest would be in investments requiring low or no taxes. If taxes will be deducted I would prefer the option of being taxed prior to any gains.

A major company like Kittyhawk (KHK) has sunk to a 4 yr all time low in recent days. Is it prime lending rate, TSA freight screening, Dow Jones, price of oil or another cause?

I've heard of a pair of ETF's that work in reverse when the markets go down (SDS for S&P 500 and QID for NASDAQ). Are these safe invesments to hedge oneself during a market downturn?

My equities are taking a beating, and while I have no intentions of backing out of anything, I am looking for an area to put some money short term - is this a viable alternative or too risky?

In my early twenties and I am finishing up school and only work a part time job. I have like a year left and am wondering if I should open an IRA now? I probably shouldn't try to invest any money because I don't have a lot and I want to keep my available funds liquid because of possible bills. Would an online savings account with a high apy be the best thing?

It's a good solid 140 year old company with a great future but no tangable reason for shooting up like this. I'm afraid it'll take a tumble. Tough call you think?

I found a website called yalicoo. It's an online stock market trading game kind of thing where whoever has the most succesful portfolio at the end of the given time (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly.) wins prize money but everyone pays a entry fee to cover that. When you register they have a link to paypal and you have to sign in to verify your account so they can take a dollar out of it. Once its verified they give the dollar back and your not charged.

Does anybody know if this site is legit? Ever heard of it before or seen anything about it anywhere else?

thanks.
