Futures and options are derivative items of any stock market.

Although i found good softwares for options trading in foreign market, i am unable to find a good software for options trading in NSE (National stock exchange of India).

The software must be comprehensive with analysis tools like premium, discount, Simple Moving Average and particularly with strategies like butterfly, straddle, strangle etc.

It must download real data and give us strategies mentioned.

I work full time in a reasonably well paid job, but I have always had an interest in making money on the stock market. The problem is I know nothing about it. I have seen loads of software available on the internet that supposedly allows you to trade directly on makets but i cant help thinking that they are just scams.

I just happened to come across the Bid/Ask price of a particular warrant : 0.030 / 0.000. Now, how can the ask (sell) price be zero? Doesn't make any sense to sell anything at zero dollars right, or am i missing something?

Thanks

They know the trade better than you. If they realy think they are going to make a big increase then why do they want to sell them to you instead of buying from you?

Lets say hypothetically, you purchased 25000 shares in company XYZ. You purchased it for 0.25 a share. Say it climbed to 2.50 in two months. Than it dropped to 1.95 in two weeks. You stay strong, and it climbs to 4.50 in 3 months than it drops to 4.25 in one month. What would you do? What would be your deciding factors in selling, or buying more? What would you look at? Volume? Moving average? EPS, P/E, sector performance? This is a what if queshtion, so no smart *** answers please. Once I choose the best answer, I will give my answer, and an answer from a professional. Let see how you compare.

I think get the basic idea, but have a few questions on a more detail level. When you approach a broker to borrow stocks you don't tell them "I'm going to short X, so lend me 100 X," right? How do you do it? I suppose there must be a fee to borrow? Will they look into your credit before they lend? If they think that the stock will go down as well, would they still lend that stock to you? Can you do it with online brokers? Is there a time limit on when the stocks need to be returned? What is an uptick and zero-plus tick?
