that really depends... unless you have an extreme liquor store...with a demand for the exotics and imports because of a large variety of consumers brought in on the tourism industry or general traffic, your sales are based on the sole sales of liquor...example...you can get a six pack of bud at the gas station for 10 cents more than at the liquor store, then most are gonna get it when they stop for gas or cigarettes. now that six pack only costs you 2.10 and sells for 5.89 avg., MSRP of 6.10 but you have to keep it colder for longer than they do...that's why convenient stores are buying up all these liquor licenses. if your investing in a liquor license, put it to the furthest extremes as you can, bars make the money because they sell one beer, 2.00-2.50 at the same cost as what they buy six. look at shots, there are approximately 28+ shots in a fifth *(750ml) bottle...a bottle of Jose quervo tequila cost avg. 19.00 as a consumer, 11.00 to you, and a shot costs avg. 2.50...sometimes more depending on location and environment...but 28 shots at 2.50 = 70.00 ( in comparison to 19.00 at the register ) which profit do you want, 8.00 or 59.00...a drug dealer without an education can figure that one out...lol...i would suggest looking at what your license will permit and hit it at 100 percent if possible, a liquor store and bar or night club...hell throw in a gas station as well and corner the corner...haha...these prices were from when my ex wife managed a bar about 6 years ago...they provided packaged liquor as well....if you have the area (Sq. Ft.)...use it...use it...use it...good luck in your Endeavors....

RE:
What profit magins does a liquor store get on average?
I'm thinking of opening a liquor store and I have surveyed the area to get a forecast on the annual sales, but I want to know the average margin liquor stores report.

Web is so essential nowadays that it becomes a part of your day-to-day regular. You can read the newspaper, see your email, update your Facebook status, shop online for Christmas gifts, Skype with pals, search on Google and so on but the most crucial is that you can also get a daily paid task, a job where you get paid quickly with no headache.
