Of course, this is one theory for investing, picking up the laggards as everything else rockets to the moon.
But they are generally laggards for a reason, and continue to lag.
If you want a performer, pick one that is breaking out to new highs, leading the pack, not trailing along in sympathy.
Value investing is one thing, but this market is not equivalent to Wal-Mart, where low prices mean greater value. In this business, value comes at a premium, but outperforms the stocks with lesser premium in a bull market run.
It looks to me like the market is getting a little overextended, possibly a blowoff top. So you may be a little late. Just watch the Uptrend line, and keep a Protective Stop on it.

8 am EST go to NASDAQ.com and click on premarket then goto to the actives. Look at a ticker and goto http://finance.yahoo.com and type in the ticker. See if there is any news. If there are gains in the morning of significance then watch for a drop during the gains & get in with a little that would make a difference with about 10 to 20 cents gain. Get out and wait another day if it gets you 100$ or more in gains for the day.
