I am in the process of writing out my business plan for a start up company, of course I have very little capital and am considering a business loan. What would you say is the most important factor in getting a small business loan of say $15,000. I have no previous financial statements for the business, and I will be putting in $2500 of my own money.

These mysterious entities of high finance that enable leveraged buyouts and also 'buy' profitable, debt-free companies by loading them with debt, how do they operate?? How do you define the term 'hedge fund'?? Are they regulated by the Securities & Exchange Commissionn (SEC) on the USA and by the Financial Services Authority(FSA) in the UK?? How come they are allowed to conduct asset-stripping raids on solvent companies with such impunity.??? Are ther no limits to what they are permited to do??

If payment 0 = -1,000,000, then you have 83 periods of 100,000 and one last period of -9,000,000. this give s a positive % return but has actually created a loss of 1,700,000. Try it in excel and explain it to me why this is so>

Hello there,
Here's my situation...i do have some amount of money (several thousends..as mentioned) and want to put it in something intelligent like buying shares or forex or internet site...I am computer programmer and have to say that my knowledge in buying shares or forex is pretty limited...but the reason why I would like to spend money in similar hard areas is why I live in poor country (Bulgaria) where any investing in "small business" is very risky...
Thanks alot!!!

There is this scheme in our townYou buy a certificate containing five names for sh 500. The seller appears last on this list. You are then asked to send another sh 500 to the coordinator of the scheme and sh 1,500 to the person appearing the top of the list. Your total investment comes only shs 2,500. When these monies are paid, you get another five certificates bearing your name at number five on the list. The other people have been moved up one slot each and the person who was at the top removed. Now you sell these papers to five new recruits at sh 500 each. At that point, you recover your sh 2500 , and the numbers begin multiply . When the five certificates with your name at number five are sold, they generate 25 ( 5 x 5) more with you at position four. When these are sold, they produce another 125(25x5) with your name at number three. The next level has 625 (125 x 5) certificates “out there”. Now each of these 3,125 new members will pay you sh 1,500 making at total of sh 4,687,500

Hi everybody,

I am new to the stock exchange market so I hope you might clear some of the fog I am encountering

Citrix reported its third quarter earnings results yesterday and to my opinion this was a very good report.

For the full report see http://www.marketwatch.com/News/Story/Story.aspx?guid=%7B27c88149%2Df737%2D4d4a%2D8a8f%2De8579334b1a7%7D

So if this was a good report why does Citrix fell 20% right after the trading day started?

What am I missing here??
