I have saved 5000 dollars in the past two years and I am a college student. I have refused to buy expensive clothing and I rarely go out. I am trying to save money because I basically support myself by working in a retail store which does not pay very much. I need a stock, or stocks that I can invest in to make my money grow because I want to have a secure future without counting on mommy or daddy. I can't seem to find a decent job that pays atleast 30,000 dollars a year. Someone gimme a solution

Hey, I'm a 16 year old beginning investor. I have a major goal in life, which is to become a millionare in my 30's or less. Right now I have nearly 8,000 in an S&P fund for long term, $1000 in market account avg. 5% a year, and 100 with me all the time. All money I get first goes into my wallet to make sure I have money with me, the rest will go into my $1000 market account to maintain 1000, and assuming those 2 priorities are taken care of, which they usually are, I put the rest into my long term account. I get $20 alowance each week, but I really want to make more money to ensure future wealth at a semi-early age. I really don't want to get a typical job, but if anyone has any good ideas that a 16 year old can do that arent illegal, please let me know. Even if theres not all that much money, as long as I make alittle bit, its worth it.

Would'nt it be profitable to actually HOLD a foreign currency (maybe in an Ultra-high interest foreign bank account) as opposed to buying it by contracts or Forex over and over again. Currency contracts all have expiration dates-which means your currency could eventually evaporate. Is'nt there a way you can hold a currency without leverage and profit from the fluctuations?

The indexes I refer to can be found by clicking on the industry link found in the business summary portion of a given stock's page, followed by the second link in the Intraday performance summary section of the resulting page. As one example, for Home Depot (ticker: HD), the ultimate link to the Home Improvement index is

Until recently when looking at stock quotes from my yahoo home page if I clicked on "Technical Analysis" along the left margin the resultant chart appeared next to the menu strip ie to the immediate right. Now when this action is taken a blank page appears next to the left margin menu and I must scroll down through this blank page in order to find the requested chart. If I then request some modification to the chart e.g. Bar format I must once again scroll down through an empty page to find the requested modified chart. Is this something that is unique to my display set up or is it rooted in the Yahoo server?

I have a business that needs one investor for 12.5k. It is an adult business so conventional banks and lenders won't touch it. There is an enormous amount of potential for growth and gain. The business is to be located in Illinois (just outside of Chicago). I have a preliminary prospectus and business plan ready for consideration. I have listed it where I could find places to do so but I need more help. This is a limited liability investment so not looking for active partners.

My spouse and I want to save up $10,000 so we can get a $200,000 loan to build our house on his property.....we want to invest in GIC's to get a nice return on our savings. There are just so many bank plans and financial planners and GIC's and mutual funds to choose from...we have researched online but this is a big decision for us....is there anyone out there who has successfully received very nice returns on their investments? Which plan/company did you choose? We plan to put $1,000/month away to get to the $10,000...but which place/plan has the best return? Has anyone dealt with IGN direct I believe it is called? The return there is looking the best out of all the bank GIC's and other places I've looked online.....
