Until recently when looking at stock quotes from my yahoo home page if I clicked on "Technical Analysis" along the left margin the resultant chart appeared next to the menu strip ie to the immediate right. Now when this action is taken a blank page appears next to the left margin menu and I must scroll down through this blank page in order to find the requested chart. If I then request some modification to the chart e.g. Bar format I must once again scroll down through an empty page to find the requested modified chart. Is this something that is unique to my display set up or is it rooted in the Yahoo server?

I took a look at the page to which you referred and mine seems to be loading ok. It appears to show w/o a blank page.
That said, if you're looking for technical analysis, there's a myriad of sites that'll help you and/or provide for you tools to do your own technical analysis.
If you like just the charting, check with your brokerage firm or open an account with someone like optionsxpress. OXPS does not require you to have a minimum and you'll be able to do both snap and java charts on their site.
If you wanted some interpretation, you might try americanbull.com.
If you're looking for kick-butt charts and tools, you'd probably consider either prophet.net or esignal.com. Both are very good.
