We are selling our house and moving to California...where we can not buy a home. We are going to make around $120,000 on the sale. I would like to take $30,000 to pay off my car and little bit of credit card debt. Do I have to reivenst in another property? (We were thinking about buying land perhaps somewhere) or is there something else I could do with it that I don't get taxed to death and perhaps get a bigger return to pay off debt.
Thanks in advance!

I'm designing a fully custom PC case with all relevant hardware contained within,.. with water-cooling. The case will have dual-cavity-walls (sound insulated),.. a stainless steel square tubular frame, a carbon fibre front-panel with on/off switch, reset switch, two graphics cards, a water-pump, reservoir, piping/tubing, pivot-out PSU case, slide-in/out HDD bays, a slidable/lockable MOBO tray, and of course the other internal hardware such as CPU, RAM, Mobo, HDD's, Sound Card, and with the water-cooling, water blocks for CPU, GPU, North and South Bridges...
Basically I want to borrow the £3000 for the build, and repay back £4000 over 4yrs,....
If you want to help me achieve this goal, and want to make back a 25% gain, then please contact me.
Am happy to show you progress of the build by means of photographs and will keep in touch throughout. The build becomes mine from the day I have purchased all the components, but will sign a document agreeing to discussed terms of repayment.

I am a 44 year old male, divorced, no kids, no alimony. I have around 12 years left on my mortgage(s). I earn around 40k a year. I put my tax refund (2000 to 2400) in a mutual fund. I pretty much live from paycheck to paycheck. Only bills are house, car, utilities, cable, internet. No outstanding credit card bills. I have about 12k in one fund and about 7k in another. I have about 6k in a savings account for a rainy day. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can someone give me advice on the following strategy. For example: Buy 100 shares of Google currently at 390 to hold for a while.

I buy a Jan 07, 390 put for $25.90.

Then I sell a Jan 08 call 500 at $28.80.

I have covered the cost of the put and even pocketed a little. I have protected the downside completely and can make a profit up to 500 for Google. Is there something I am missing. THese are current prices BTW. Thanks

I wondered if anyone feels the UK has run out of steam as inflation is on the rise. EU rumoured to be raising their rates and BoE probably in October. I have heard several property developers are selling some housing stock because they think we are heading towards the Bust part of the Boom and Bust cycle. Is this long overdue do you think?. Are house prices going to stagnate or decline and will there be a lot of people made redundant?

I have an image of this bank as untrustworthy bank .
I opened an Saving account with opening amount Of Rs. 5000/- after gathering my pocket money & Saving my miscellaneous Expenses. & after some months when I was in need of that Amount, I came to know this bank deducted my Rs.3000 / =more than half of my saved amount without intimating me. How ridiculous ! saving is not good @.
After that I call to customer care but all in vain : !
