Morningstar goes back 5 years...it would be nice to screen for ten years worth of performance history or maybe even longer. Anybody know how?

that longs do not have
like the uptick rule
or "that stock is not available for shorting"
or high balances to even be allowed to short
(and dont tell me because the theoretical risk is unlimited...no stock has ever gone to infinity)

its unfair

Does the company called Queens Moat Houses Plc still exist and if so what has happened to their shares. Someone I know has a lot of shares in them bought about 10 years ago and stil has the share certificates. Is there anywhere I can find the current price and maybe see a graph of what the share price has been over the last 5 or 10 years?

I’ve got a question about index options. I trade OEX and SPX contracts pretty often, but I just don’t understand this. I know it doesn’t really matter for what I do, but I was just thinking about it today.

With normal options you can actually create the contract by buying 100 shares of the stock and then writing the call. Someone sees the call, and buys it. (Simplified version)

How does it work with index options? Because they are cash based, how do the contracts get generated? Is there a set amount of contracts for each month? I understand in order for there to be a contract, there has to be the buyer and the seller. But if I’m the buyer, and you’re the seller, where did You get the contract from, and where did that person get it from before you?

At HCA, a leveraged buyout has been anounced at a stock price of $51 as of 07/18 pending shareholder approval. The stock currently is trading at $48. Why would I not buy all the stock I can now at $48. Don't the shares have to be bought out at $51?

I have managed to save up quite a bit of money in a Fidelity 401K plan. I can make a loan to myself from this account to myself and pay it back at the interest rate and amount I want. Would it be better to keep it where it is or would it be better to draw some of it out and buy property? I’m a little worried about inflation and would feel better if I had my money where I could see it.
Thanks
This is really bothering me.

I am currently working as Forensic Accountant and looking to get into the financial and investment services industry. I haven't yet deceided on what I want to get into although alternative investments, hedge funds and the like interest me. If I do deciede to take the CFA approximately how many months should I plan to study for the level one assuming I have three years accounting experience and a dual bachelors in accounting and business? The next exam is in December and the one after that is June so I am not sure if I should wait a whole year. I have a few more questions but this would be a good starting point. Thanks for the help!
